Welcome
This wiki will eventually describe all of the unique stuff available on our server, including custom mobs, items, blocks, etc. Right now it's rather bare. It's a work in progress, and you're welcome to help it along.
What's new?
6/10/2012: We were down for a few hours this afternoon. SpoutPlugin was finally updated to a new build, and I updated us to it due to the fact that players were experiencing problems when they updated to the newest version. (Which was semi-forced.) Unfortunately, the update broke existing custom blocks due to a serialization issue. This problem has been found and fixed, and a new RB for SpoutPlugin was released as a result. Nothing was lost during the downtime. Thanks for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
6/7/2012: Another new version of the plugin is now live. 0.1-b394 fixes a few more bugs mainly around certain blocks not dropping what they should and Jellyfish being annoying. It also adds a few new blocks, and some updates to the Undead mob.
5/27/2012: A new version of the plugin is now live. 0.1-b216 Is mainly a bugfix release. It adds mob eggs for all of the custom mobs in the game, which can be obtained with the mob wand.
5/23/2012: The server has opened! Our current plugin version is 0.1-b158, which adds 5 new mobs (4 easily reachable), 13 new blocks, and a few new items. Click the version for more info!
How do I connect?
You'll need the Spoutcraft client to connect. It's a new Minecraft client that installs separately from Minecraft itself. It allows us to have new unofficial content. Get it here. The server is minecraft.cpprograms.net. There is also an IRC chatroom that is connected with the server. It is #cppcraft on irc.esper.net.
What kind of new content is there?
We have new blocks, new mobs, and some new items. There are also a few other other unique features that we have. We've also got a few new gameplay aspects which are unique to the server. Of course, it's still Minecraft at its core. It's still all about building and survival.
What else is planned?
Planned features are described on the Upcoming Features page. Users are welcomed to add their own ideas to this page as well. Stuff on this page isn't guaranteed to be in future versions, but if it's on this page, it will at least be considered.
I ran into a bug!
Yeah, they exist. Spout is pretty buggy right now, but it's at least functional. Check out the known issues page to see the bugs that we already know about. If you run into something new, feel free to email admin@cpprograms.net to ask about it. If it's definitely related to the Spout system itself, you can just add it to the known issues page, as well.
I have questions!
We have a FAQ page. If your question isn't answered there, ask it in the talk section. You'll get an answer, and it may be added. (If you don't see an answer and want one asap, contact admin@cpprograms.net.)
