Welcome
This wiki is here to describe all of the unique stuff on the server, and provide a place for users to discuss this new material. It is a constant work in progress, and is open to anyone interested for editing. Just register your account and confirm your email. Contact cppchriscpp if you run into any issues.

What's new?
10/19/2012 Due to incessant spam, I've disabled registration on the wiki. If you want an account, just let me know and I'll get you set up. I had to delete nearly 5500 junk pages (advertising schlongpills) today - I don't want to keep doing that.

10/10/2012 A new version is finally live and working off of 1.3. This update mainly brings compatibility with 1.3, but also brings out the new enchanting system! The levels things are at are subject to change though - the levels were designed for 1.2, and are a bit high now. The terrain generation has also been tweaked - we no longer use TerrainControl; we just spawn ores into the world naturally. Progress on the next update continues, but we're not there yet. Between this and 1.4, the nether just might be an interesting place again.

9/26/2012 Yeah, I know. 1.3 builds still aren't available, so we're still stuck waiting. I'm starting to re-evaluate the costs and benefits of Spoutcraft. Will update when there's news.

7/31/2012 We will be updating to 1.3 as soon as Bukkit and SpoutPlugin update, for those wondering. This update won't be bare, either. A certain feature from a future version has been backported into the current version, and will be made available during the upgrade. The new world generation and such is coming along, but isn't quite ready for prime-time yet. Soon, though.

6/18/2012: Version 0.1-b977 is out. This time there are a bunch of new blocks, including Colored Glass, Glass Slabs, and Marble Slabs.

6/12/2012: I did a quick update today. The version number went up a lot, but it added very little content. The main fix of 0.1-b703 is that entity skin issues should be completely resolved.

How do I connect?
You'll need the Spoutcraft client to connect. It's a new Minecraft client that installs separately from Minecraft itself. It allows us to have new unofficial content. Get it here. The server is minecraft.cpprograms.net. There is also an IRC chatroom that is connected with the server. It is [irc://irc.esper.net/minery #Minery on irc.esper.net].

What kind of new content is there?
We have new blocks, new mobs, and some new items. There are also a few other other unique features that we have. We've also got a few new gameplay aspects which are unique to the server. Of course, it's still Minecraft at its core. It's still all about building and survival.

What else is planned?
Planned features are described on the Upcoming Features page. Users are welcomed to add their own ideas to this page as well. Stuff on this page isn't guaranteed to be in future versions, but if it's on this page, it will at least be considered.

I ran into a bug!
Yeah, they exist. Spout is pretty buggy right now, but it's at least functional. Check out the known issues page to see the bugs that we already know about. If you run into something new, feel free to email admin@cpprograms.net to ask about it. If it's definitely related to the Spout system itself, you can just add it to the known issues page, as well.

I have questions!
We have a FAQ page. If your question isn't answered there, ask it in the talk section. You'll get an answer, and it may be added. (If you don't see an answer and want one asap, contact admin@cpprograms.net.)
This update is still a distance out, and some mainline updates to 0.1a may come out before then. The rest of this page details how the nether will be once we go live on this update, which is still a while away.
The nether is a treacherous area with plenty of new content for players to explore. Our version of the nether is rather different from plain Minecraft, so veteran players can expect a new experience. The nether has many hostile mobs which will go after a player on sight. It also has a number of passive mobs - just don't upset them or they will attack you.

This page contains information about releases of the plugin that gives the server most of its features. This is the plugin that adds all of the custom Mobs and Items, alongside most of the custom Blocks. Other plugins are used where necessary, but this plugin does all of the heavy lifting. It will be regularly updated as new features are added in. In the future, you will be able to find out what version of the plugin the server is currently running with a command. For now, you're stuck trusting the wiki. See Upcoming Changes for changes that will be in the next version.
|-
||0.1-b977||June 18, 2012|| 0.1-b977
Additions:
* Changed the name from CPPCraft to The Minery. We needed a not-crummy name. I'm open to suggestions if anyone doesn't like it.
* Fix for custom blocks being placed in water. This is a spout issue, but they don't seem to be making any traction on fixing it, so, I wrote a workaround.
* New slabs: Glass Slabs, Marble Slabs, Marble Brick Slabs
* New blocks: Colored Glass! (A-la StainedGlass)
** And slabs for these blocks, while we're at it!
|-
||0.1-b703||June 12, 2012 || 0.1-b703
Additions:
* Tools now stack correctly (or don't stack at all, to be more specific)
* Skin issues should be resolved. Custom entities should now always show up as the correct mob. No more white creepers!
* A bunch of smaller backend fixes.
* (Some stuff that no one can see yet because it's not finished. There's some cool stuff coming, though.)
|-
||0.1-b394||June 7, 2012 || 0.1-b394
Additions:
* Undead are now able to slow & poison players. Beware!
* Jellyfish damage is now (From )
* Jellyfish drop more exp.
* Jellyfish (hopefully) will stop randomly attacking players that are nowhere nearby.
** If you continue to see this, please let me know. I've been toying with removing their ability to attack for the time being.
* Emerald has the same texture it has in the vanilla pre-releases. It will be converted to MC emerald when 1.3 rolls around.
* Emerald now spawns like it does in vanilla. I hope you enjoyed the free currency!
* Bugfix: Emerald and Ruby blocks drop when you break them with the appropriate tools again.
* Add Marble Column Base with the same recipe as the Marble Column Head, but rotated.
* Add Jelly (Which still does nothing)
* Persistant Player data storage added.
|-
||0.1-b216||May 27, 2012 || 0.1-b216
Additions:
* Undead now drop zombie flesh and more exp
* Undead now deal 1.5x as much damage as a normal zombie.
* Custom mobs drop spawn eggs when killed with the mob wand
* Various minor backend fixes.
* Blocks spawned in the world should start having the correct underlying block now. (Areas that have already been spawned will still have some blocks with the wrong underlying block sometimes.)
* Fixed custom entities not being spawned once certain types of entities were killed.

Known issues:
* Pikachu's sounds are still broken.

|-

||0.1-b158||May 23, 2012 || 0.1-b158
* First public release of the plugin.
* Added 13 new Blocks
* Added 5 new Mobs
* Added 4 new Items
* Added Mob Wand
* Added Tosser Wand
