The levels things are at are subject to change though - the levels were designed for 1.2, and are a bit high now. The terrain generation has also been tweaked - we no longer use TerrainControl; we just spawn ores into the world naturally. Progress on the next update continues, but we're not there yet. Between this and 1.4, the nether just might be an interesting place again.

Our server allows you to use a new enchanting system which is entirely based upon choice, rather than random luck. You can choose which enchantments you want on what items, and spend your levels the way you want. The system is optional, and can be disabled using the [[Settings Menu]]. This feature will be made available in the next released version, which will be available when SpoutPlugin is updated for minecraft 1.3.

The Nether

The nether is being completely redone for our server. The current nether is basically vanilla, and will be going away when we hit version 0.2a. (If you have already built something in the nether that you care about, please alert cppchriscpp (admin@cpprograms.net) about it, so that it can be moved.) This update is still a distance out, and some mainline updates to 0.1a may come out before then. The nether is a treacherous area with plenty of new content for players to explore. Our version of the nether is rather different from plain Minecraft, so veteran players can expect a new experience. The nether has many hostile mobs which will go after a player on sight. It also has a number of passive mobs - just don't upset them or they will attack you. Searching through the nether you may find [[Nether Village|Villages]] (planned), [[Watch Tower]]s (planned), and a few other unique structures. There are a few ores available which will make continued existence in the nether less strenuous.

== How do I connect? ==
You'll need the [[Spoutcraft]] client to connect. It's a new [[Minecraft]] client that installs separately from Minecraft itself. It allows us to have new unofficial content. Get it [http://spout.in/exe here]. The server is minecraft.cpprograms.net. There is also an IRC chatroom that is connected with the server. It is [irc://irc.esper.net/minery #Minery on irc.esper.net].

== What kind of new content is there? ==
We have new [[:Category:Blocks|blocks]], new [[:Category:Mobs|mobs]], and some new [[:Category:Items|items]]. There are also a few other [[other unique features]] that we have. We've also got a few new gameplay aspects which are unique to the server. Of course, it's still Minecraft at its core. It's still all about building and survival.

== What else is planned? ==
Planned features are described on the [[Upcoming Features]] page. Users are welcomed to add their own ideas to this page as well. Stuff on this page isn't guaranteed to be in future versions, but if it's on this page, it will at least be considered.

== I ran into a bug! ==
Yeah, they exist. Spout is pretty buggy right now, but it's at least functional. Check out the [[known issues]] page to see the bugs that we already know about. If you run into something new, feel free to email admin@cpprograms.net to ask about it. If it's definitely related to the Spout system itself, you can just add it to the known issues page, as well.

Emerald ore is a new type of ore added by this server that was later added into Minecraft. It now follows the exact same rules as the vanilla emeralds. Emerald ore cannot be obtained naturally. When broken, it drops an [[Emerald]].

Marble is a white decorative block that can be found at level 45 and below. It is slightly stronger than stone, and can be crafted into a number of other decorative blocks. These blocks include [[Marble Brick]], [[Marble Column]] and [[Marble Column Head]].

This page contains information about releases of the plugin that gives the server most of its features. This is the plugin that adds all of the custom [[:Category:Mobs|Mobs]] and [[:Category:Items|Items]], alongside most of the custom [[:Category:Blocks|Blocks]]. Other plugins are used where necessary, but this plugin does all of the heavy lifting. It will be regularly updated as new features are added in.
